Roadway Planning
This webpage provides information and planning efforts relative to specific roadway corridors/areas and freight opportunities throughout Chester County. Many of these efforts are carried out through partner organizations such as the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC).
PennDOT's Pothole Hotline
Due to Pennsylvania's severe freeze/thaw cycle, potholes are a fact of life. PennDOT can only fix potholes if they know about them and motorists are encouraged to report potholes on state-owned roadways by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD or visiting customercare.penndot.gov. When reporting a pothole, please be as specific as possible. If you can, note the county, municipality, road name, and closest intersection. Learn More

US 202 Section 100 Operations Analysis
This DVRPC study examined existing and anticipated traffic patterns on US 202 from Matlack Street to Skiles Boulevard/Stetson School Drive. It identified a number of low-cost improvements in the corridor that would substantially improve future traffic conditions but could be done mostly within the existing roadway footprint. Chester County is currently seeking funding for these improvements. View Document

This DVRPC study examined existing and anticipated traffic patterns on US 202 from Westtown Road to Boot Road, including select nearby intersections. Several alternatives were identified and examined using traffic modelling. The report ultimately recommended a set of improvements that focus primarily on the Northbound direction of the study area that would improve future conditions from both a safety and traffic flow standpoint.
