Trails Plan

We recently shared an update on the Chester County Trails Master Plan, which we're excited to announce has been approved by the Chester County Commissioners! Whether for recreation, travel, or leisure — trails provide numerous opportunities for everyone in Chester County.

The Trails Master Plan was created to assist the county and its many trail development partners with the planning and implementation of an interconnected, county-wide public trail network. The Plan presents an overall vision for the trail network supported by resources and recommendations to advance implementation. Developing this county-wide public trail network will create new and improved trail-based transportation and recreation opportunities and strengthen the connections between our communities and the county's vast collection of natural, recreational, historic, and community resources.

The Plan was partially funded through the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Community Conservation Partnership Program starting in 2022, with ongoing work since then.
