Chester County Trails Master Plan — Draft Now Available
Posted October 23, 2024
Many people love trails — whether they use them for recreation, or to get from one place to another (or both), trails provide numerous opportunities and connections for everyone in Chester County and beyond.
With trails being a top priority, the county has been working on the development of a Trails Master Plan to serve as a resource for planning future trail development, creating connections between current trail networks, providing better trail access, and filling in critical "gaps" within the county's trail network. By doing this, Chester County can establish a county-wide vision for an interconnected, multi-use trail network.
The Chester County Planning Commission released a draft of the Chester County Trails Master Plan, which is currently published online for public review and comment.
Those who wish to view the Draft Plan are encouraged to do so. Additionally, comments can be sent to Steve Buck, Trails Planner and CCPC's project manager, at sObfuscationbuck@Obfuscationchesco.org, or by calling 610-344-6285.
Prior to this, the planning team hosted an online survey as well as various public meetings about the Trails Master Plan.
Funding for the Plan was awarded through the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Community Conservation Partnership Program in 2022.
