A total of 13,541 units were built from 2010 to 2019, less than half of the 31,211 new housing units built from 2000-2009.

The number of new multi-family units increased in 2019 from 2018, after a strong decline of multi-family new unit construction in 2018. Multi-family new units remain at around one third of the amount of new units being built from 2015 through 2017.

Only two municipalities had new apartment units, East Pikeland (171 units), and Malvern (2 units). West Bradford (92 units) and East Pikeland (86 units) had the highest number of new single-family detached units. East Whiteland (138 units), and Upper Uwchlan (57 units) added the most new single-family attached units. East Pikeland added the highest number of new units (257 units).
